DBS checked staff

It means that all our staff have completed a DBS check – otherwise known as a disclosure – this is a report into their background that any employer or employee can request if they are advertising or applying for a position working with children, the elderly or the vulnerable.

A DBS check will indicate if the applicant has been the subject of any criminal proceedings which may have resulted in a criminal record as a result of any criminal offence carried out against the aforementioned groups.

All our staff have received a clear DBS check, through Cambridgeshire County Council and further more they have had an enhanced DBS check.

Therefore you can be assured that the professional driver you hire with your coach is suitable to be working along side children or vulnerable adults.

Enhanced DBS disclosure is for positions involving greater contact with children or vulnerable adults (for example: teachers, nurses, midwives, Coach Drivers, Vehicle attendants, social workers etc). In general, the type of work will involve regularly caring for, supervising, training or being in sole charge of children or vulnerable people. Enhanced checks are also issued for certain statutory purposes such as gaming and lottery licences.

In addition to the information provided on a Standard Disclosure, the Enhanced Disclosure involves an additional check with the police, who check if any other information is held on file that may be relevant (for instance, investigations that have not led to a criminal record). The police decide what (if any) additional information will be added to the Disclosure.
