Battlefields Tour
Published: 13/10/15 By: Luke Mowatt
Grey’s recently conducted a tour of some of the prominent landmarks of the battlefields in Normandy. Ably administered by experienced driver Kevin it was an extremely moving experience for all.
The weather, thankfully, was kind for the trip which included some very high profile guests including the Australian High Commissioner.
They followed a route around Normandy visiting sites of interest that were pertinent to some of the more famous war time poets such as Wilfred Owen. Joining the group for the tour was a professional actor who performed some of these poems on site at the Somme Battlefields and Arras.
Finally upon visiting the war memorial graves, Grey’s driver, Kevin, played The Last Post. We can only imagine what a powerful moment that was.
Lest we forget.
