Grey’s Sponser Witchford FC

The Village Inn FC was founded in 2003, rising from the ashes of Witchford S&SC Reserves. Having being crowned champions of division 3a and gaining 4 promotions in 4 years we have progressed to the dizzy heights of Division 2a of the Halls sunday league. After losing our sponsor for the 2008/9 season, we decided to change our name to Witchford Raiders.

This season 2008/9, we was unsure how we were going to keep the club going, as we needed a new kit & a new sponsor. After having another successful season & more players wanting to sign for our team, we decided to try & get sponsorship from local companies around the Ely area.

After contacting many companies & almost giving up the hope of continuing our Sunday team, we had a call from Richard Grey from Greys of Ely. Richard kindly asked us to come & speak to him about how they could help. At the meeting we explained that we needed a new sponsor & money to purchase a new kit. Greys of Ely agreed to sponsor Witchford Raiders & we were more than happy to have their name on our new kit.
